The Standard has announced the addition of a second Stable Asset sales professional. Joe Bruns has joined Jim Roche, who has served in this role for the past several years. Together, Bruns and Roche will promote The Standard’s Stable Asset Fund through a national network of distribution partners.

“We are seeing significant growth and opportunity for our Stable Asset Fund product in the marketplace. Plan sponsors want a safe fund for their participants from a strong financial company,” said Dan Hall, vice president of Retirement Plan Sales at The Standard. “I am very excited to have both Jim and Joe leading efforts to expand our distribution network and platforms.”

Most recently, Bruns was a retirement plan consultant for The Standard, serving advisors in the East Region. Prior to joining The Standard, he served as a vice president and client consultant for Manning & Napier Advisors. He has previously held sales positions at Fulton Financial Advisors, JP Morgan Retirement Plan Services and T. Rowe Price Retirement Plan Services.

Bruns is a graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses. As of August 19, 2016, insurance licensing is in process in Alabama, California, Florida and Georgia; licenses are active in all other states with the exception of New York.
