Blockchain startup SMART VALOR has appointed Julien Bringer, Ph.D. as Chief Security and Cryptography Expert to develop its overall security framework. Bringer brings a wealth of experience in researching and deploying projects in the field of security, identity and cryptography.

Bringer’s career to date encompasses senior roles at the global leader in security and identity solutions, IDEMIA (formerly Morpho). Recently he was a global lead in charge of Innovation Programs group-wide, working across IoT security, digital identity and strong authentication. His previous positions include Research Team Manager for Security and Cryptography, heading up the smartcard attack team, and Senior Security Expert.

Prior to IDEMIA, Bringer started a Ph.D. thesis in cryptography at the Université de Toulon, France, for which he was awarded in 2007. Since then Bringer has been very active in research and innovation, with more than 80 scientific publications and more than 50 pending patents. He is Associate Editor of the prestigious journal IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security.
