Cross border e-payment provider PPRO Group today announces that former senior vice president (SVP) of Skrill, Ronnie d’Arienzo has joined the company in the new role of chief sales officer for payment services, to strengthen the business’ ambitious growth plans.

PPRO has a unique proposition for PSPs and card acquirers, enabling them to fully outsource the processing and collection of alternative online payment methods around the world. In his new role at PPRO Group, Ronnie will build upon his experience in the fast moving payments industry by attracting and recruiting new partners to the business, as well as managing, developing and providing support for existing ones.

As SVP at Skrill, he implemented a complete restructuring of its sales strategy and operations to deliver considerable and sustained growth to the company, culminating in it surpassing year-on-year growth trajectory by 16 per cent. This ultimately led to the company’s €1.1bn sale to Optimal Payments in 2015.

”I recognised the capability and value proposition that PPRO Group has from the outset,” comments d’Arienzo. “PPRO Group is a dynamic, agile business, supported by a talented team. I’m looking forward to helping the business grow and develop at an exciting time for the payments market.”

“With his proven track record, I’m confident that Ronnie can support PPRO Group in its vision as one of the fastest growing FinTech businesses in Europe,” adds Simon Black, CEO, PPRO Group on Ronnie d’Arienzo’s appointment.

PPRO Group’s offerings allow the partners’ customers to reach beyond national borders with easy access to the international market. Within their Acquiring business unit, PPRO Group allows payment service providers (PSPs), credit card acquirers and processors, market places and similar financial organisations access to a varied and constantly growing range of international alternative payment options. All are delivered through the same single interface which partners can then provide their merchants. This, in turn, helps the merchants to easily expand their customer base reach into cross-border territories, increase conversion and stay ahead of the competition within the e-commerce market. PPRO Group also processes, collects, and reconciles payments for the PSPs and merchants.

Unlike any other organisation worldwide, PPRO Group solely focuses on offering its services to PSPs and other multipliers as opposed to the merchant itself and thus is always working for the partner, not against them.
