OpenFin, the operating system (OS) of finance, announced today the hire of Adrian Crockett as Chief Product Officer. Based in New York, Crockett brings a wealth of experience in building innovative products and leading digital transformation within capital markets.

In 2012, Crockett co-founded Pellucid Analytics, an integrated platform that streamlines the creation of investment banking pitch books through functionalities including customizable content libraries and advanced data visualizations. He served as CEO until December 2019, when the firm was acquired by a leading market data vendor.

Prior to launching Pellucid, Crockett headed investment banking strats groups at Credit Suisse and Merrill Lynch, where he oversaw quantitative corporate finance advisory practices and digital transformation efforts. Before that, he spent several years in the UK as a Director at Deutsche Bank after beginning his career in Sydney.

As Chief Product Officer, Crockett will work with OpenFin’s large and fast-growing client base to build the financial industry’s app infrastructure.  In the consumer space, firms like Apple and Google provide infrastructure including operating systems and app stores that enable the mobile experience. OpenFin provides analogous infrastructure tuned for financial industry needs and Crockett will be leading the firm’s product development across all offerings.

A powerful ecosystem of over 1200 applications now run on OpenFin which is used by the largest financial institutions and vendors in the world.

Commenting on the new role, Crockett said: “I am incredibly excited to join a firm that has seen so much success and essentially wrote the book on modernizing the financial desktop. Even more thrilling is the opportunity to play a leading role as the company enters its next phase and works to enable digital transformation across the financial services industry.”

OpenFin CEO Mazy Dar said: “Adrian was the ideal candidate for us with an exceptional understanding of enabling digital transformation at a macro level as well as deep expertise in end-user ergonomics and application design at a micro level.  We could not be more excited to have him leading our product development.”
