OCC, the world’s largest equity derivatives clearing organization, today announced three additions to its senior management team.

Amy Shelly, a former Chief Financial Officer with Optiver U.S. LLC, a global participant and market maker on major U.S. derivatives exchanges, who has over 20 years of financial services management experience, has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. She replaces Kim McGarry, and will start in her new role on December 5th. Shelly will be responsible for finance, accounting, strategic sourcing and facilities, as well as a new treasury function. James Pribel, formerly Executive Director and Treasurer at CME Group, has been named First Vice President, Treasury, which is a new position in the organization. Pribel’s appointment is effective immediately.

In addition, Joe Adamczyk, currently OCC’s First Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, is being promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer, replacing Richard Wallace. Adamczyk’s appointment is effective immediately.

“OCC’s evolution from a market utility to industry influencer is moving forward, and these leadership enhancements position our company well for future success,” said Craig Donohue, OCC Executive Chairman and CEO. “Adding Amy, Jim and Joe to our leadership team strengthens the breadth and depth of experience we believe is necessary to strengthen OCC’s financial management and risk governance culture so we can better serve market participants on behalf of the U.S. listed equity options and futures markets.

On behalf of our Board of Directors and my colleagues, I want to thank Kim McGarry and Richard Wallace for their contributions to OCC, and we wish them well in their future endeavors.”

Prior to joining OCC, Shelly was the interim Chief Financial Officer for a private equity portfolio company in 2016. From 2015 to 2016 she was a project manager for CF Industries, where she worked with the company’s corporate controller to manage the integration of a large acquisition. In 2014 Shelly was the interim Chief Financial Officer for Volant Holding LLC, a holding company with wholly-owned proprietary trading companies located in the U.S., Great Britain and Hong Kong. From 2008 to 2014 Shelly was Chief Financial Officer for Optiver U.S. LLC, where she managed the financial risks of the business including financial regulatory compliance, investments, communicating financial performance and forecasts, tax compliance and various treasury functions. She is a registered Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana.

Pribel has been providing treasury and financial management support for OCC as a consultant since January. During that time, he was instrumental to the successful refinancing of OCC’s $2 billion syndicated credit facility, supported the reaffirmation of OCC’s AA+ rating with Standard and Poor’s, and was a contributing member of the team that identified and successfully negotiated the real estate transactions for OCC’s new Chicago corporate office and Dallas business center, as well as the sale of the company’s current facility in Keller, Texas. Pribel is a registered Certified Public Accountant and holds an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago.

Adamczyk joined OCC in 2015 and has been working primarily on compliance and regulatory exam management issues. He worked for CME Group from 2007 to 2015, most recently as Managing Director, Associate General Counsel, where he advocated for the firm before regulators, policy makers and industry panels throughout the U.S., Europe, Middle East, and Asia Pacific. Adamczyk has also worked for the Chicago law firms of Jenner & Block LLP, and Freeman, Freeman and Salzman, P.C. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science from DePaul University.
