N26 Appoints Peter Kleinschmidt to N26 AG’s Supervisory Board

N26 today announced the appointment of Peter Kleinschmidt to the Supervisory Board of N26 AG following its 2024 Annual General Meeting.Peter, an avid investor in startups with a focus on new and emerging technology, brings decades of experience in the financial services, banking and insurance industries. Formerly a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he spent almost 30 years as an auditor and tax advisor in the company’s Audit division, he has worked with and audited the financial statements of multiple national and international banks and financial conglomerates. In addition, he was also responsible for advising and consulting on IT risk management, anti-money laundering, governance and compliance, as well as digital transformation topics.

Peter will take on the role of Chair of the Supervisory Board’s Audit and Risk Committee, working closely with existing members of N26 AG’s Supervisory Board Marcus W. Mosen, Jörg Gerbig, Dr. Barbara Roth and Déborah Carlson-Burkart, as well as N26’s executive leadership team. He takes over from Dr. Julian Deutz, who will step aside from his board duties after two successful years to focus on his existing professional obligations.
