Mambu announces the latest additions to its C-Suite, as Ellie Heath and Semhal Tarekegn O’Gorman are promoted to Chief People Officer and Chief Customer Success Officer respectively.

Ellie Heath has been promoted to Chief People Officer, reflecting her remarkable leadership in shaping Mambu’s people strategy. Since joining in October 2021 to build and lead Mambu’s reward function, Ellie has continually expanded her impact. In November 2023, she took on Employee Relations and People Operations, further strengthening the team function and two months later she stepped into a People Lead role. Ellie and the team she’s built have formalised and professionalised Mambu’s People processes, enhancing talent management and employee experience across the organisation. Ellie’s influence extends beyond HR, as a key advisor within Mambu’s leadership team, encouraging challenge and driving meaningful organisational change.

“I’m incredibly proud to stepping into the role of Chief People Officer. Mambu is truly made up of the best people in the industry, and it’s an honour to help build a company that attracts this level of talent. When I started in my role back in October 2021, I saw the clear potential of what Mambu can offer to be a great place to work, and I’m excited to continue this work into 2025 and beyond.” Ellie Heath, Chief People Officer

Semhal Tarekegn O’Gorman first joined Mambu in February 2024, and her promotion to Chief Customer Success Officer is a testament to her transformative impact at Mambu. Semhal has redefined how Mambu supports and nurtures its customers by deepening the understanding of their needs, proactively tracking sentiment, and mitigating churn risks. Semhal’s leadership has strengthened Mambu’s ability to manage customer relationships effectively, safeguarding the trust and loyalty of its valued clients. Beyond her success in leading the Customer Success & Support (CSS) organisation, Semhal has played a pivotal role in guiding the Mambu leadership team, demonstrating strategic acumen and executive-level decision-making. Her promotion is a well-earned recognition of her contributions to Mambu’s ongoing growth and success.

“Having joined the team back in February 2024, this is an incredible honour to celebrate my first year at Mambu. Taking on the role of Chief Customer Success Officer comes with the exciting opportunity to continue to build on the brilliant success of Mambu, and to further improve how we support our customers. I’m excited to be part of a company that recognises the importance of customer success, and empowers the entire team to execute excellence in all elements of their work.” Semhal O’Gorman, Chief Customer Success Officer

“Both Ellie and Semhal have been integral to strengthening Mambu, both internally and externally”, says Fernando Zandona, CEO of Mambu. “Ellie’s leadership on the People side has enhanced our employee experiences and made Mambu a better place to work, while Semhal’s work has been crucial to improving customer experiences and improving our proposition. It’s an honour to recognise Ellie and Semhal’s contribution to the company we’re building.”

Ellie and Semhal join Ivneet Kaur, who joined Mambu as Chief Technology and Product Officer in December 2024, as Mambu’s female executive leaders. Alongside the rest of Mambu’s executive leadership team, they will be crucial to driving Mambu forward as it continues to deliver modern-day core-banking to businesses on a global scale.
