Startupbootcamp InsurTech welcomes Manjit Rana, founder and CEO of innovation consultancy, Ingenin Ltd, as Managing Director for Corporate Innovation in Insurance, to lead the development and launch of a new range of corporate innovation products and services.

Manjit has extensive experience in working with insurers on internal proposition development and developing new startups. Over the last 30+ years, he has helped insurers navigate InsurTech disruption by honing their vision, exploring innovative ideas and harnessing the power of broad-scale collaboration. He has co-founded numerous startup businesses both directly and for corporates such as Fujitsu Consulting and has an extensive advisor portfolio, including RightIndem, OSeven, syntrAA and is also Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Nottingham.

Following the success of the current SBC InsurTech programmes operating in London and Hartford Connecticut, and with insurance companies now starting to invest more seriously into their own innovation programmes, SBC believes that there is a clear opportunity to develop a range of products and services designed to help corporates build and operate these programmes more effectively and successfully.

Commenting on his appointment, Manjit Rana says: “SBC InsurTech is so much more than an organisation that helps InsurTech businesses become investor ready. As we continue to engage with the insurance industry and understand their priorities, there is an opportunity to develop bespoke products and services to address the specific challenges faced when it comes to innovation. I am excited to join the SBC InsurTech team to create world-class solutions for insurers.”

“Manjit’s role as advisor to leading InsurTech startups as well as having been a mentor for SBC InsurTech since 2015 among others, means that he is permanently well-informed on what matters for the industry. I am thrilled that he is joining our ever-growing team as we take the next step in our engagement with our existing partners, brokers, insurers and reinsurers, ensuring that we continue to deliver high-end solutions to the market,” adds Sabine VanderLinden, CEO, Startupbootcamp InsurTech.

Manjit will join the SBC InsurTech team in London and work closely with SBC InsurTech CEO, Sabine VanderLinden, to develop and refine the suite of corporate innovation products and services to ensure that they meet the needs of a fast-paced evolving market. He will continue to be involved in the broader insurance industry as an advisor and regular speaker at industry events.
