Finova Appoints Sebastian Mrotzek as New Director of Operations

Finova, the UK’s largest cloud-based mortgage and savings software provider, has today announced the appointment of Sebastian Mrotzek as Director of Operations.

The new appointment reinforces finova’s commitment to running its operations to the highest standards, ensuring robust risk management, security, and resilience for its growing customer base. 

In his role, Sebastian will oversee managed services, operational resilience and security & risk, further enhancing finova’s ability to support nearly 70 live lenders. His appointment marks a significant step in strengthening finova’s expertise as the company continues to scale.

Sebastian joins finova from Redwood Bank, where he spent four years driving operational excellence. He first served as Director of Operations (SMF 24) before accepting the role of Chief Information and Technology Officer (SMF 24), where he spearheaded new IT initiatives and strengthened the bank’s cybersecurity and regulatory compliance strategies. 

He brings expertise in third-party oversight and outsourcing, alongside experience at the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and the Bank of England, reinforcing finova’s commitment to upholding regulatory standards. 

Sebastian Mrotzek, Director of Operations, said:
