Speakerbus, the specialist provider of critical voice solutions for financial, emergency and command sectors, announced today that it has recently hired Danson Lam from Etrali (now part of IPC) to join the Asia-Pacific new business team. Based in Hong Kong, Danson was previously regional Sales Manager at Etrali and is a highly-experienced voice trading platform specialist.

Patrick McCullough, CEO of Speakerbus, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Danson to the Speakerbus team, and he is already proving to be an asset. I am struck by the appetite for change in the region, particularly amongst the major banks and traders. Many of the global Tier-1 banks are locked into legacy technology and wish they could move, but the big local banks in Hong Kong and Singapore now appear to be moving fast to switch to soft turret technology because their future strategy clearly does not include closed legacy hardware.”

On joining the company, Lam commented: “I am very pleased to join Speakerbus at such an exciting time in their growth. Their technical innovation and agility have always impressed me.  This is a great opportunity for me to work with a leader in open solutions. Speakerbus is clearly the future of voice trading and unified communications. I know of many institutions currently evaluating soft turret technology as part of their strategy and I am certain Speakerbus will be very much a part of these conversations.”
