Control Risks, the specialist global risk consultancy, has appointed Neil Meikle as Head of Forensic Technology for Europe and Africa. Neil is a forensic technology specialist with over fifteen years of experience in leading multi-jurisdictional forensic investigations for clients including corporates, law firms and regulatory bodies. Neil joins Control Risks from PwC UK.

Neil Meikle explains his reasons for joining Control Risks: “As a risk consultancy with a global footprint, Control Risks has outstanding credentials in delivering cross-border forensic investigations and technology services. I am fortunate to be joining at a time of rapid growth and innovation in the Forensic practice and the existing digital forensics, legal technology and forensic data analytics teams. Technology is an increasingly important part of forensic investigations, and disruptive technologies such as predictive analytics and machine learning are being utilised more frequently, often embedded into existing technology platforms. There is a clear opportunity to support clients more efficiently and effectively during crisis readiness, response and recovery, uncovering evidence that in the past might have forever remained hidden.”

Jonathan Brown, Partner at Control Risks and responsible for the forensic practice in the Europe and Africa region, comments: “The use of innovative technology is critical to investigations and wider forensics, given the exponential growth in data. We are delighted that Neil is joining to strengthen our existing forensic technology practice. He will add enormous value to our services, bringing experience of leading complex multi-disciplinary investigations, a background in cutting edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and data science, and a deep understanding of how developing technology trends are affecting our clients.”
