Unlimit, the global financial infrastructure powering the borderless agentic economy, is supporting the digitalisation of payments in Mexico’s education sector through its partnership with Mattilda, an edtech company that automates tuition fee collection and provides financing solutions.

The partnership is helping Mattilda modernise payment processes that have traditionally relied on manual methods and legacy systems, creating a more convenient, efficient, and scalable experience for educational institutions, students, and families.

Beyond providing digital payment processing for debit and credit cards, instalments, and recurring payments in Mexico, as well as the ability to integrate SPEI based payment methods, Unlimit delivers a high-performance financial infrastructure designed to support both Mattilda’s operations and its longer-term growth.

Through its partnership with Unlimit, Mattilda has gained access to advanced payment optimisation capabilities designed to improve approval rates while providing robust fraud prevention and chargeback management tools. The company also benefits from greater visibility over payment performance, including detailed reporting for each educational institution using its platform.

Unlimit’s single integration will also support Mattilda as it expands into additional Latin American markets, allowing the company to enter new countries without rebuilding its payment infrastructure for each market.

“By combining Mattilda’s vision of transforming financial management within the education sector with Unlimit’s global financial infrastructure and expertise, we are helping to create a more scalable, efficient, and seamless payments ecosystem for educational institutions, students, and families. This partnership lays the foundations for Mattilda’s continued growth across Latin America while delivering a better experience for the institutions it serves,” said Martina Selser, Head of Growth and Expansion, Americas at Unlimit.

“Our goal has always been to eliminate the complexity of school fee payments and create a more modern financial experience for educational institutions. With Unlimit’s infrastructure, we have been able to improve approval rates, streamline operations, and achieve the scalability required to support our next phase of growth. This partnership not only strengthens our operations in Mexico but also prepares Mattilda for expansion across Latin America,” said Adrián Garza, Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer of Mattilda.

The partnership comes as consumers across Mexico increasingly use digital channels for education-related spending. According to AMVO’s Online Sales Study, 41% of surveyed consumers said they purchased education-and course-related products and services between one and three times per month in 2025, while 11% said they made such purchases weekly.
