Tax-Free Shopping Company, Premier Tax Free has developed a retail point of sale solution that is claimed to be the ‘future of tax-free shopping’.

Premier Kiosk is a quick and simple interactive self–service solution that allows tourist shoppers to generate their own tax-free forms. Lengthy queues at till points and customers services as well as manual and lengthy paperwork can be eradicated.

Tax-Free shoppers will be identified through card recognition software when making their payment, where they will then be able to print their own tax-free forms using the in-store kiosks.  The kiosk is connected to all till points in-store, and automatically recalls the purchase information as soon as the receipt is scanned. Using inbuilt scanners, the tourist can simply scan their passport and sign the form using the inbuilt signature pad.  Respecting all local and international regulations, the printed tax-free form is fully compliant, and in some countries, such as France, it is linked to local Customs to synchronise with their PABLO system.

Patrick Waldron, CEO of Premier Tax Free said, “With International Shoppers spending up to five times more than domestic Shoppers, it’s fundamental that retailers have solutions in place to capitalise on this. Busy retailers, such as high footfall department stores, often become frustrated with traditional tax-free solutions and problems such as increased queuing times, explaining procedures in different languages and managing tour groups. Premier Kiosk has been developed to resolve these problems and to provide the best tax-free shopping experience.”

Already deployed into luxury Parisian department store, Printemps, Premier Kiosk has proven to be extremely user-friendly with international shoppers. It’s easy to operate; the user can select their own language and guides them step by step via touch screen. The kiosk was designed to fit into the store environment, with a modern yet discrete design and bespoke colour schemes, it works well in their retail space and has made issuing tax-free forms much more efficient.

In addition to simple and compliant tax-free form issuing, Premier Kiosk offers many other benefits including; consolidation, customer loyalty data capture & information recall as well as marketing communication possibilities, and a tour guide management solution, which has proven to be very popular with busy department stores dealing with Chinese tour groups.
