Trustly is pleased to announce a new partnership with one of Sweden’s leading platforms for online payments, Payson AB. Through the partnership, Trustly’s bank payment solution is now offered in Payson’s checkout, which is used by thousands of Nordic e-commerce merchants.

This new partnership is in line with Trustly’s focus on providing its bank payment solutions for e-commerce merchants and, in so doing, broadening the choice of payment options for consumers. Traditionally online payments have been dominated by cards and invoices, but consumers are showing an increased preference for paying directly from their online bank accounts. Trustly and Payson’s new partnership addresses this trend.

After integrating Trustly as the sole bank payment method in its checkout, Payson can now offer all its merchants the ability to accept fast, simple and secure bank payments from Nordic consumers. In the case of returns, Payson merchants can also issue instant refunds, an increasingly important differentiator in the competitive e-commerce landscape. According to a recent Trustly survey,* 65% of consumers claimed the speed and ease of refund affects where they choose to shop.
