Glory Global Solutions, a global leader in secure cash management solutions, today announced the launch of Ntegra™ Plus, an innovative desktop banknote counter/sorter that has been developed to enable enhanced processing of the Next Generation Australian banknotes.

With Australian Payments Clearing Association estimating that there will be 9.4 billion cash payments in 2018 and with banknotes being used in around 90 percent of cash payments, the processing of new banknotes that incorporate innovative security features presents a new and significant challenge.

The first new notes will be issued in September this year and will incorporate features not previously used on Australian banknotes.

Ben Thorpe, Glory’s Managing Director Asia Pacific explained “The new notes have certain features that enable unprecedented levels of security. However this does provide a challenge in that current cash handling equipment will need to be altered in order to process the new design. Glory has long experience of dealing with issues of this kind. We have focused on helping banks transform their branches, enabling cultural, operational and process change by optimizing cash processes across the entire branch – back office, middle office and front office”.

Ntegra Plus has been designed to cope specifically with the challenges posed in processing the new Australian banknotes.

It offers Glory’s Australian customers a compact and portable desktop banknote counting and sorting solution and has been engineered to deliver unprecedented efficiency savings through continuous and uninterrupted use,

Mr Thorpe said “Ntegra Plus can denominate and authenticate at a processing speed of 1200 notes per minute. It is fast, strong, reliable and provides state-of-the-art authentication capabilities”.
