Equiniti Provides Digital Support to Visa Europe

Payments , Infrastructure

Equiniti has provided Visa Europe with share registration services for over ten years. In this transaction, Equiniti provided digital support for the processing of legal documentation, via a secure portal, and managed the cash payment, on completion, of over €12Bn.

This complex transaction was completed using Equiniti’s proprietary paperless document processing and international payments technology. These services offer significant logistical, environmental and cost benefits. They demonstrate Equiniti’s ability to provide secure, flexible and timely technology solutions in both the legal and payments elements of a transaction.

Guy Wakeley, CEO of Equiniti, commented: “Visa Europe is an important long-standing client and we were pleased to be able to support them on this complex transaction, by bringing together expertise from across the Equiniti Group. We see fully digitised corporate actions support as an important progression as we move towards real-time hyperconnected markets.”
