Fime has announced a strategic partnership with the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), the only accredited NFC Forum testing laboratory in China. As part of this collaboration, CAICT has selected Fime’s NFC RF test bench solutions, including the state-of-the-art Contactless Test Station (CTS) III emulator. The tools will be used to perform analogue and digital Near Field Communication (NFC) testing for smartphones and other NFC-enabled devices.

This partnership reinforces Fime’s role as a trusted advisor and technology enabler to the dynamic Chinese market. Contactless device manufacturers and component makers can now also benefit from the high-performance tools being used by CAICT, enabling faster, more innovative product design in line with the latest NFC Forum specifications.

"China is at the forefront of innovation and momentum for NFC solutions is strong.  For example, it was the Chinese auto industry that requested key features in the recent NFC Release 15 around digital car keys.

This collaboration allows CAICT to support this dynamic market with an ultra-high-performance test bench that can perform some tests up to four times faster than legacy tools. We’re removing barriers to innovation and getting solutions to market faster."

"We chose Fime’s solution for its advanced capabilities and reliability, which are essential for our rigorous testing standards. This comprehensive solution will significantly enhance our testing processes and support the continuous development of NFC technology in China."

Pang Shuai

Senior Engineer at CAICT

In addition to CAICT’s adoption, Fime’s NFC RF test bench solutions and the CTS III tool are available to manufacturers via its main distribution partner in China, Paralink. This ensures that manufacturers across China can benefit from in-house access to the same advanced tools used by CAICT, helping them pre-empt certification issues, streamline testing, and optimize time to market.

To further support local innovation, Fime provides ongoing expertise and technical support for the continuous integration of new test suites. This guarantees that CAICT benefits from a future-proof and fully supported testing solution. Local manufacturers can also benefit from Fime’s local technical consultants to support every stage of their project lifecycle, from design and development through to validation and launch.
