BPC Banking Technologies, a world leading provider of payment solutions, today announces being voted as the best payments solution provider in East Africa by the Banker Africa publication. The award comes shortly after being voted as the best provider in South Africa a month earlier.

The award recognizes the contribution BPC is making to East Africa countries including Ethiopia and Kenia in transforming the payments landscape there, with projects aimed at modernizing existing payment systems benefiting citizens and economies across the region. Recent projects include establishing a new national switch Ethiopia for all retail banks in the country and the launch of agency banking service for far flung areas in Kenya.

“This second award for Africa could not be possible without our clients’ support, as they play a huge role in initiating the transformation of existing payments systems in Africa. BPC Banking Technologies is highly honored to be named the Best Payments Solution Provider in East Africa and is looking forward to using the technology we have established there to further build out new services which will benefit the unbanked”, says Daryl Berg, MD BPC Banking Technologies Sub-Sahara Africa.

According to Robin Amlôt, Chief Executive Officer of CPI Financial, “We at The Banker Africa are delighted to present this award to BPC Banking Technologies. Our Awards are designed to recognize innovation and the ability to gain market share. We also seek to highlight excellence and the drive to set new standards in the industry in quality of service, best practice and financial performance.”
