Kooth Work has been selected by Panmure Gordon, a UK Investment Bank to help deliver proactive and preventative mental health and wellbeing support to all its employees and their families.

Forming one of the core foundations of Panmure Gordon’s employee support programme, Kooth Work was chosen for the accessible and anonymous nature of its award-winning digital mental health platform. It is also the only digital mental health provider to hold a UK-wide accreditation from the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Kooth Work will enable Panmure Gordon to deliver a confidential digital mental health and wellbeing service 24 hours a day, seven days a week to its 150-strong workforce. As there’s no ‘one size fits all' approach to mental health, Panmure Gordon’s employees will be able to personalise their own mental health support. They will have access to a fully safeguarded and pre-moderated community with a library of peer and professional created content, alongside the ability to book one-to-one sessions with experienced counsellors.

In addition, insights garnered from Kooth Work’s anonymous data will help Panmure Gordon to identify areas of improvement for its employee support programme. From developing additional programmes, to implementing new policies and practices, it will aid in the creation of a mentally healthy workplace where all employees can flourish, and no one is left behind.

Matt Press, Chief Administrative Officer at Panmure Gordon said:

We are thrilled to be offering our employees and their families’ access to Kooth’s digital mental health platform. The tools and resources available will form a fundamental part of our benefit offering as we look to strengthen how we proactively support the wellbeing of our people. We want to continue to drive change and promote an open conversation around mental health in the workplace and provide employees with a safe and confidential way to do so. With access to the platform on a variety of mediums, we are ensuring our employees can access the advice they need anytime, anywhere. We look forward to exploring the full benefits of the Kooth Work platform.”

James Murray, Director, Kooth Work, commented:

“Accelerated by the impact of the global pandemic there’s been a growing awareness and acceptance that mental health is of equal importance to physical health. According to research from the HSE, of the 1.7 million workers who suffered from a work-related illness (new or long standing) in 2020/21, 800,000 were suffering from stress, depression or anxiety. With this in mind, it is vital that companies of all sizes, across all sectors, not only check-in but proactively support the mental wellbeing of their workforce.

He added: “Forward-thinking in nature, Panmure Gordon is the first investment bank to work with Kooth Work. We are looking forward to working with them to help support their impressive goal of creating a culture centred around a mentally healthy workplace where everyone has the ability to flourish.”
