BrickVest is announcing the launch of its online direct real estate investment platform. The London based Fintech platform allows investors to invest as little as EUR 1,000 in institutional quality real estate that previously was only accessible to large institutions such as pension funds, insurance companies and large family offices.

BrickVest has just closed three deals, allowing users to invest alongside the following investment partners, who manage billions of real estate assets globally. Thor Equities, a global leader in urban real estate investment and development, will give BrickVest users the opportunity to invest in retail assets located in central London. With Aerium, the pan-European real estate investment manager, BrickVest users can access an investment in the heart of Berlin’s central business district. The final deal secured with Corestate Capital Group, is a sizeable retail portfolio also in Germany.

The founding team has vast experience in both real estate and technology sectors. The company is backed by influential investors, notably including Harvard University Professor of Real Estate Finance, Richard Peiser, and Global Founders Capital, the venture capital arm of Rocket Internet.

BrickVest offers a range of investment opportunities allowing investors to select an opportunity based on the preferred asset class, geography and return profile. Unlike property crowdfunding platforms, which first need to raise enough financing from investors in order to acquire a property, all the investment opportunities on BrickVest’s platform have already been closed. This means that investors can immediately acquire their stake in the property.

BrickVest has unlocked the ability to combine unparalleled ease of access and transparency while providing an institutional-level investment platform with increased liquidity, supported by best-in-class reputable fund service providers such as Nabarro LLP (legal), BDO LLP (audit, tax), Reyker (fund operations, depositary, custodian) and Lawson Conner (regulatory).

Emmanuel Lumineau, CEO at BrickVest, comments: “Today is a significant moment in the real estate industry, as we are levelling the playing field for those who have been unfairly locked out from closed networks. While most existing real estate peer-to-peer funding platforms act as a brokerage service for investors, BrickVest offers the full spectrum of investment management services: from complete deal underwriting and structuring to investment management, rating and monitoring. BrickVest further sets itself apart by providing to the European investment community a unique liquidity platform to a traditionally illiquid asset class. I certainly believe that we are introducing a fundamental shift in the process of real estate investment.”
