Conference to take place from October 31st to November 4th, 2022

100 Women in Finance, a global finance industry network, today announces that its 2022 Global FundWomen Week Conference (“GFWW”), the largest global gathering of asset allocators and female investment managers, will be held virtually from October 31st to November 4th, 2022.

GFWW is part of 100WF’s FundWomen initiative, promoting and empowering female investment professionals by facilitating stronger female networks within the institutional investment community and increasing allocation to female managers.

As it has over the years, the capital introduction-focused conference will include virtual 1:1 meetings between leading female fund managers and allocators, as well as thought leadership content featuring prominent speakers. GFWW 2021 included fireside chats and panels on ESG, the market landscape, and the CIO’s perspective, as well as sessions focusing on skills such as how to pitch a fund. The conference also facilitates ‘coffee chats’ – small-group interactive spaces in which conference participants can discuss ideas, share opportunities, and build relationships. For the third year in a row, the event will be powered by iConnections, the investment industry’s leading capital introductions platform.

Amanda Pullinger, CEO of 100WF, said: “In the past few years, significant progress has been made in empowering women in the financial services industry, however barriers still exist that prevent us from accessing the same opportunities as our male colleagues. Now in its third year, our Global FundWomen Week seeks not only to celebrate talented female fund managers, but also offer delegates a dynamic environment in which they can access investment opportunities, increase their visibility and develop lasting relationships.

GFWW 2021 connected 325 female fund managers with 370 institutional investors for 1,300 1:1 meetings, with >70% of allocators pursuing further diligence with managers they met at the event. Our participants also connected during >65 coffee chats and the conference produced 12 thought leadership webinars featuring 45 senior industry leaders.

Ron Biscardi, CEO of iConnections, said: Promoting gender and ethnic diversity within the asset management community is vital. Funds with greater female representation have been proven to drive better performance – a great benefit to our industry as a whole. This conference is the ideal moment to increase attention and drive more capital to talented female fund managers. We are proud to partner with 100WF for this worthy initiative.
