Stubben Edge Group is pleased to officially announce its acquisition of Insurercore, a tech-enabled distribution platform headquartered in London. The deal was formally completed on the 2nd of December and initially announced by Chris Kenning, CEO of Stubben Edge, at the Stubben Edge celebratory reception held at Lloyd’s where guests from the banking, insurance and investment worlds, gathered to celebrate the Company’s outstanding 2022 results and to discover some of its exciting plans for 2023.

Insurercore, which was established six years ago, connects the insurance market, linking risks with risk appetite. Having grown its user base of Insurance professionals to over 4,600, Insurercore is the largest insurance networking platform in Europe. By providing one easy-to-use platform, underwriters can clearly define their capacity and appetites which then link to a bespoke search engine, enabling vetted brokers to find and contact them. Integrating this within Stubben Edge’s proprietary distribution platform means users can move from a listing and networking function and enable broad-based transactional activities across a broad suite of insurance and non-banking services.

Stubben Edge continues to grow and has evolved considerably through 2022, now offering an end-to-end platform for business insurance and other financial services, sitting behind some of the best-known brands in the market (growth business, small business, information-age). The Stubben Edge mission remains to help brokers and Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs)  digitise their businesses and, through its media properties, access an audience of individuals and Small to Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) with a full range of financial services products, all delivered via an e-commerce platform which brokers and IFAs can link directly to their own websites.

Chris Kenning, CEO Stubben Edge Group said, “We’re very excited to confirm the acquisition of Insurercore which will improve connectivity between brokers and insurers. With the deal bringing an additional 4,600 brokers to the Group, this combination creates one of the largest independent financial services distribution platforms in the UK.”

Peter Clarke, Managing Director Insurercore said, “This deal has come at an incredible pace and brings amazing opportunities to accelerate our plans to grow the network and innovate new features that add value for our clients and users. It was clear from early discussions with Chris that he saw how Insurercore could be aligned with what Stubben Edge is doing for entrepreneurial brokers and SME clients across the UK.

“In addition, this deal brings exceptional access for our clients to Stubben Edge’s existing Cash Management, Financing, International Events and Educational product suite from business experts. The Stubben Edge Group is fast-growing, dynamic, friendly and ticks all the boxes for Insurercore.”
