Wolt today announced that it has joined peers from across the on‑demand economy to launch the Deliver‑E Coalition, an industry‑led alliance focused on accelerating the shift to zero‑emission two‑ and three‑wheeler deliveries worldwide. Wolt, together with DoorDash and other global platforms, will work to advance cleaner, quieter and more affordable last‑mile logistics in cities.

The Deliver‑E Coalition brings companies together behind a shared charter to speed up the adoption of electric vehicles, e‑bikes and other zero‑emission two‑ and three‑wheelers. Members will share best practices, track progress, and collaborate on solutions to common barriers such as charging access, vehicle availability, financing, and safety.

The Coalition will be hosted by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), which will provide research, administrative and communications support to help the industry scale zero‑emission delivery.

At Wolt, sustainability means making everyday life in cities better for couriers, merchants and customers. Zero‑emission two‑ and three‑wheelers are already proving cleaner, quieter and increasingly cost‑effective, said Jamie Saab, Global Head of Sustainability at Wolt. By working alongside DoorDash and other partners through Deliver‑E — with UNEP as Secretariat — we can move faster together than any one company could alone.

Why this matters

With online ordering continuing to grow, last‑mile logistics play a critical role in urban air quality and climate goals. Studies indicate that switching from combustion two‑wheelers to e‑bikes can cut last‑mile delivery costs by around a quarter while reducing emissions by up to 90%. Cities also benefit from lower noise and cleaner air, while new green jobs emerge in vehicle servicing, charging infrastructure and fleet software.

Initial priorities

In its first phase, Deliver‑E will focus on:

  • Scaling zero‑emission operations for two‑ and three‑wheelers in priority markets;
  • Building a shared evidence base on technologies, charging and financing models;
  • Exchanging lessons learned and aligning practical steps across members; and
  • Regular reporting on progress through coalition meetings and updates.
