The INSEAD Alumni Balance in Business Initiative (BiB) is delighted to announce Lloyds Banking Group as the headline sponsor of the INSEAD Alumni Balance in Business Awards 2024. Dawn Capital, Europe's largest specialist B2B software investor and BiB Awards Founding Partner, is also sponsoring.

The annual awards, launched in May 2023 by the BiB Initiative in partnership with the Institute of Directors (IoD), and supported by the FTSE Women Leaders Review, recognise trail-blazing FTSE350 organisations and top 50 private UK companies showcasing best gender balance representation at the ExCo/Direct Report level. They also recognise major organisations leading the way through innovation and policy redesigns aimed at levelling the playing field in the workplace.

Lloyds Banking Group won the BiB Awards 2023 “Most Impact Award”, and shares a commitment to promoting equal opportunities for all, and gender balanced and diverse workplace cultures. Hannah Munro, Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Lloyds Banking Group said: “We’re proud to be the headline sponsor of the 2024 Balance in Business Awards as we continue our journey to increase the diversity of our senior colleagues at Lloyds Banking Group. Last year we won the ‘Most Impact’ Award for the work we have done to increase representation of women in our executive population. Being able to attract and retain talented women is highly important to us and we recognise that companies with gender diverse senior management teams perform better. In 2014 we were the first FTSE100 company to establish a gender target for our senior manager population and we have increased this to 50% as we continue to push forward with our goal to achieve gender parity.”

Florence Hamilton, Lead and Founder, INSEAD Alumni Balance in Business said: “This  collaboration with Lloyds Banking Group will help us to elevate this topic in today’s dynamic businesses, and reaffirms the awards’ dedication to honouring organisations that champion equal opportunities and gender balance.

The awards are amazing because they bring to light the fact that companies from across a wide range of sectors are working towards improving gender balance, introducing new policies, coming up with innovative initiatives and the impact is being measured and is visible! And more importantly, they have come forward and are willing to share their stories. This year we hope to see many more companies join us in our efforts to collaborate and learn from one another and as a result build a business community in which equal opportunities for men and women are the norm. It’s important to realise that there is a lot more to the BiB Awards”.

Jon Gueldart, Director General, Institute of Directors said: “The IoD strongly supports the need to improve the gender balance of boards and the executive leadership. It is therefore important to highlight those businesses that are at the forefront of this issue, to help show the way for others. As one of our award winners this year, we are delighted to have Lloyds Banking Group as a partner for the 2024 awards.”
