Klarna, the AI-powered global payments network and shopping assistant, today announced the launch of its new technology hub in Warsaw. This strategic investment underscores Klarna’s commitment to advancing its global technology capabilities, and recognising Poland as a key player in Europe’s innovation landscape.

Klarna serves more than 85 million consumers and 600 000 merchants globally, and has had a local market presence in Poland since 2021. In recent weeks, the company has announced collaborations with Apple Pay and Google Pay, and it has a long standing partnership with OpenAI. Klarna has taken a position at the forefront of AI-driven transformation, with OpenAI recognizing Klarna as a frontrunner in using AI to deliver real-world benefits to its customers.

Klarna is now aiming to hire over 100 engineers by 2025 in Poland, offering Polish talent the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge AI innovations without relocating abroad.
