Communications and IT services provider KCOM announced today that it has entered into the framework contract as an approved supplier on the UK Government’s Digital Outcomes and Specialists 2 framework (DOS2) which replaces the previous framework from February 2017.

DOS2 identifies KCOM as a supplier of “Digital Outcomes and Specialists”. Digital Outcomes are systems services, projects and programmes that have specific outcomes with clear deliverables. The DOS2 framework assists UK public sector buyers in purchasing digital and cloud-based services quickly and from a large and diverse pool of proficient, proven and reliable providers.

Digital Specialists are technical systems resources with abilities, such as agile coaches, cyber security consultants, programme delivery managers or technical architects.

DOS2 runs in parallel with the G-Cloud framework, through which public sector bodies purchase cloud services such as Web Hosting and Business applications. Both frameworks support the delivery of the UK Government Digital Strategy.

“Our Digital Outcomes and Specialists 2 accreditation is a formal confirmation of our capabilities in delivering reliable and outcome-orientated services to the public sector,” commented Stephen Long, EVP at KCOM. “We have always been highly focused on delivering complex IT projects that result in tangible benefits for our customers’ customers – a focus that is mirrored by the DOS2 framework.”

This latest accreditation lends further credibility to KCOM’s abilities to deliver trusted managed services to UK Central Government and the wider public sector, and builds on existing certifications the company already holds for G-Cloud 8, as well as being an accredited Amazon Web Services Premier Partner. Most recently, KCOM was recognised for outstanding performance as a Cisco partner in 2016 with the presentation of the Customer Care Partner of the Year award. The award celebrated KCOM’s success in transforming customer contact environments for HMRC amongst others.
