Hyland, a leading content services provider named a Leader in the industry for the 12th straight year by Gartner, has joined the Linux Foundation and will sponsor Open Source Summit Europe, demonstrating Hyland’s deep and growing commitment to the open-source community.

The Linux Foundation is a nonprofit tech consortium founded in 2000 to standardize Linux, support its growth and promote its commercial adoption. Next week’s Open Source Summit Europe, held in Dublin, is the premier open-source event for developers, technologists and community leaders.

Hyland tech evangelist Angel Borroy and community manager Antoine Thomas, each long-time open-source expert, will present at the Summit, on how a cloud-native approach enables developers to best deliver solutions to the market. Hyland’s team will be in Booth G7 at Open Source Summit Europe.

Hyland 2020 acquired Alfresco and last year acquired Nuxeo, adding two content services solution providers boasting open-source technology and teams that brought deep knowledge and experience. Since then, Hyland has executed its stated open-source vision by creating collaborative relationships with other future-forward individuals and organizations, while at the same time actively investing in these platforms by releasing regular updates, improvements and new features. Most recently, Hyland released updates to Alfresco and Nuxeo focused on user experience enhancements and security.

Customers have enjoyed Hyland’s long track record of innovation and utilized its breadth of platform capabilities to keep pace with the changing ways people work and live. Meanwhile, Hyland’s open-source expertise has grown, empowering open innovation for forward-leaning developers and business leaders to:

  • Improve decision making
  • Anticipate the needs of users and customers
  • Increase business agility
  • Speed time-to-value
  • Manage information end-to-end
  • Govern sensitive information
  • Boost productivity
  • Adapt to evolving business needs

“Since acquiring Alfresco and Nuxeo, Hyland has been committed to open source and dedicated to contributing to the community,” said Bill Priemer, Hyland’s president and CEO. “Membership in the Linux Foundation will only deepen our connection to those developers and technologists, and we’re excited to formalize those relationships.”
