The Asian Pacific American Employer Awards are based on the results of the Asian Pacific American Corporate Survey, a national benchmark study about the growth, development and advancement of Asian Pacific American employees in Fortune 500 and other large companies. Winners are selected based on a statistical analysis of internal employee surveys distributed to Asian Pacific Americans.

Discover was formally honored at the eighth Diversity Leadership Forum on June 9 at the Asia Society in New York City. Asia Society is a leading educational organization dedicated to promoting mutual understanding and strengthening partnerships among people, leaders and institutions of Asia and the U.S. in a global context.

“Asian Pacific Americans have contributed immensely to the success of U.S. businesses. Recognizing and developing these employees is not only the right thing to do, but it is also a prerequisite for attracting and retaining top talent,” said David Whitelaw Reid, Asia Society’s executive director for global talent initiatives. “We congratulate all the winning companies, and urge other employers to follow their lead.”
