Barclays today announced the opening of its new office in DLF Downtown, Gurugram, strengthening its presence in the National Capital Region (NCR) and reinforcing India’s strategic role as a critical hub for the group. It becomes the second office in the NCR, complementing the existing centre in Noida.

Strategically located in one of India’s leading financial and commercial corridors, the new 317,000 square-feet facility, with ~4,000 colleague capacity is designed to support Barclays’ continued growth in India by enabling closer collaboration across global teams and enhancing delivery of technology-led and high-value services. Gurugram’s proximity to India’s financial, regulatory and technology ecosystem makes it a natural hub for building deeper collaboration with specialised talent.

C. S. Venkatakrishnan, Group Chief Executive of Barclays said, “India, our second largest footprint and one of the world’s most exciting major economies today is central to Barclays’ long-term growth and global operating model. Our presence here has evolved into a strategic hub for technology and specialised capabilities, along with scale and depth of talent to support the growth of all our local and global businesses. The opening of our Gurugram office reflects our confidence in India’s ecosystem and our ambition to drive growth enabled by India.”

Praveen Kumar, CEO of Barclays Global Service Centre, India added, “Our new Gurugram office marks an important milestone in the next phase of growth. It supports the continued expansion of higher-value roles aligned with our global businesses, particularly across analytics, customer service, operations and finance. The new office strengthens our ability to attract specialist talent and deliver integrated outcomes for Barclays globally.”
