Kevin. Raises $65m Series a, Led by Accel, to Bring Account-to-account Payments to Existing POS Payment Terminals

Kevin., the Lithuanian fintech startup providing an advanced A2A (account-to-account) payment infrastructure to replace costly card transactions, announces that it has secured $65 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Accel, with participation from Eurazeo and all existing investors, including OTB Ventures, Speedinvest, OpenOcean, and Global Paytech Ventures. Additional investors in the round include Harry Stebbings, Founder of 20VC, Ilkka Paananen, CEO & Co-founder of Supercell, Amitabh Jhawar, Ex-CEO of Venmo, and other angels.

Fintech Cheq Announces $2 Million Raise

Cheq, the fintech enabling easier cryptocurrency payments, has raised a $2 million pre-seed round led by Connect Ventures, alongside Semantic Ventures, firstminute Capital, and 30 angels including former leadership from Monzo, Revolut and Tide. The funding will enable Cheq to establish itself as the primary option for taking payment with stablecoins that are pegged to the US dollar, removing price volatility for both merchant and consumer. The result is a user experience similar to traditional payment platforms but without intermediary fees and cumbersome approval requirements.

Bitcoin Savings App Relai Welcomes €1.2M in Private Investment Ahead of Public Raise on Crowdcube

RELAI, the savings and investment app making bitcoin accessible for everyone, is running its first raise via Crowdcube - marking the first time the crowdfunding platform has played host to a regulated bitcoin startup. Founded by Julian Liniger and Adem Bilican, Relai is headquartered in Switzerland. Since its launch in 2020, Relai has gone from strength to strength, and currently boasts more than 24,000 active users across Europe. The private phase of the raise saw more than €1.2m invested, with Relai’s lead VC investor, Redalpine, investing again. Other seed stage investors included Polytech Ventures, Fulgur Ventures and ACE & Company.

Januar Raises Historic €6 Million Seed Round

Januar ApS (januar.com) has closed the largest seed round in Danish history, a historic €6 million round led by Element Ventures, with participation from Angular Ventures, Outward VC, and early pre-seed backers byFounders. The round also includes well-renowned angel investors including Nicolas Julia, co-founder and CEO of Sorare, Charlie Songhurst, former Head of Strategy at Microsoft, Pierre-Antoine Pierre, CEO and Founder IBanFirst, Jørgen Horwitz, former Director of Finansrådet as well as Einar Braathen from CoinFund.
