Startupbootcamp InsurTech, the leading accelerator focused on Insurance innovation, announces new partnerships with LV= and Swiss Re. Startupbootcamp InsurTech welcomes them on board to provide the expertise, exposure channels, APIs and access to a network of industry professionals that most early-stage insurance startups would not otherwise be able to access.

Startupbootcamp runs its InsurTech program in London and has just announced its inaugural cohort of 10 startups which include teams from across Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific. The chosen startups cover a range of insurance topics including micro insurance, connected home, connected health, white labelling and pension robo-advisors. Startupbootcamp InsurTech will provide funding, mentorship, office space and access to a network of industry partners, investors and venture capital firms.

Sabine VanderLinden, Managing Director at Startupbootcamp InsurTech, said: “We are at a time in our global accelerator program where bringing new partners on board will help us to continue driving the worldwide exposure that startups crave and helps to cement the credibility of the program. After a successful selection process for up and coming insurance startups, the logical next step is to open up the program to an even wider community of startups. The partnerships with LV= and Swiss Re, will enable us to reach this audience and continue expanding the program to the communities around the world where there is a need for an accelerator such as ours.”

It’s been an exciting start in our partnership with Startupbootcamp. Engaging in the final selection week-end we have seen some really interesting FinTech startups. Congratulations to the  final 10 , whom we look forward to working with alongside Startupbootcamp to help mature the offerings and considering whether some of them are suitable to use in the LV= future business model ,” said Rod Willmott, Fast Track director at LV=.

"We are delighted to be partnering with startupbootcamp in their first InsurTech cohort.  The energy and enthusiasm during selection days was impressive, and we are really looking forward to working together with the teams as they bring innovative solutions to the insurance industry" added Ross Walker, Reinsurance Strategy, Swiss Re.
