The Open Banking Expo Awards 2025 are officially open for entries, offering organisations the chance to gain recognition as pioneers in Open Banking and Open Finance.

Widely regarded as a springboard for future success, past winners of the awards have collectively raised over £8 billion through investment and acquisition deals.

Standout examples include Bottomline Technologies’ $2.6 billion acquisition, Abound’s £250 million funding round and Applied Blockchain’s $5 billion commitment from Macquarie Asset Management.

The Open Banking Expo Awards celebrate trailblazers who are transforming financial services, from established players to innovative start-ups, with judges seeking entries across categories including ‘Best Industry Partnership’, ‘Best Use of Data’ and ‘Best Open Banking Payments Project’.

And, new for 2025 is the Champion for Change Award, rewarding those who have actively supported and championed the advancement of women in Open Banking and Open Finance.

Kelly Stanley, Co-founder and Director of Open Banking Expo, said: “Winning an Open Banking Expo Award is more than a trophy – it’s a mark of meaningful impact in a rapidly evolving space. We’ve seen past winners secure major deals, raise significant capital and go on to shape the future of the industry. We’re excited to celebrate the individuals and teams driving forward the future of Open Banking and Open Finance.”
