Next week sees the return of Fintech Connect to the ExCel centre in London, marking a decade as Europe’s only dedicated fintech event for the entire ecosystem. Over the course of two days – 6th and 7th December 2023 - 3,000+ attendees will hear from the most inspirational global fintech industry C-suite leaders and start-up innovators.

One of the highlights of the event will be the premier of ‘Finance: Equity & Inclusion’, a programme made by FINTECH Circle in collaboration with ITN Business to explore how the finance industry is making a positive impact in society - from green finance to the digital pound.

Hosted by reporter and presenter Sangeeta Kandola in ITN’s London Studio it features organisations making financial services more accessible and transparent, as well as investing in ethical and sustainable growth for consumers, society as a whole and for the environment.

Thought leaders from FINTECH Circle will share how companies and individuals are creating a fairer financial future, exploring key themes including:
  • How technology is helping people in the cost-of-living crisis
  • Green finance and sustainability
  • Diversity, inclusion and ESG
  • New technologies, such as AI & quantum computing
  • The Digital Pound
The screening will take place on the first day of the event on the Digital Innovation & Gen AI Stage at 1.15pm, followed by a Q&A session with Susanne Chishti, CEO of FINTECH Circle, Mona Christensen, Head of Client Outcomes at Hargreaves Lansdowne, and Neil Kadagathur, Co-Founder & CEO of Creditspring.

After the premier of ‘Finance: Equity & Inclusion’, delegates can head to the Start-up Launchpad at 3pm for an Investor Pitching Session moderated by Susanne Chishti, CEO of FINTECH Circle. Here, six promising fintechs will pitch their business plans to our very own ‘Dragons’ Carol Hagh and Michael Mellinghof.

Vying for their investment will be:
  • Adrian Cannon - CEO, TribeHive
  • Sotiris Manderis - Co-Founder, FinSmart
  • Nabeelah Begum - CEO, RAML
  • Damien Burke - CEO, Custom Credit
  • Daniel Harman - CEO, Darksquare
Meanwhile on the Workshop Stage at 3.30pm, award-winning financial technology recruiter Harrington Starr will host a panel featuring some of their 1% workplace awards winners. Visitors will learn how the best fintechs can attract, engage and retain world class talent in 2024.
Laurence Coldicott, Senior Content Director, Fintech Connect 2023, said: “The cost-of-living crisis shows no signs of wavering, with interest rates set to remain high for the foreseeable future and 1.2 million UK adults classed as ‘unbanked’ in 2020. It’s therefore incredibly exciting to be able to premier a programme that spotlights the organisations across the sector looking to provide a fairer financial future for all, whether through innovation, technology or sustainability.”
The event, comprising four vertical streams – Digital Innovation & Gen AI, PayTech, Web3 (the evolution of blockchain), and RegTech & Security – has attracted a stellar line-up of visionary fintech industry leaders and renowned experts, as well as several high-profile sponsors, including:
  • Discover Global Network
  • Polymesh
  • Rise, created by Barclays
  • Adobe
  • FT
  • General Assembly
