Policy Expert, the digital home insurer, is celebrating two award wins, having been named a ‘National Winner’ in the 2019 European Business Awards – one of the world’s largest business competitions – as well as ‘Best Financial Services eCommerce’ at the eCommerce Awards 2019.

The insurtech firm has been recognised at the European Business Awards as the best business in the UK among its peers for innovative use of technology.

Policy Expert was selected as the UK’s National Winner of the Digital Technology Award (turnover of €26-150M) by a panel of independent judges including business leaders, politicians and academics. It also featured among 2,753 firms across Europe highlighted as ‘Ones to Watch’ in a list of business excellence.

The European Business Awards is now in its 12^th year and its primary purpose is to support the development of a stronger and more successful business community throughout Europe. This year it considered over 120,000 businesses from 33 countries.

Policy Expert has also been named ‘Best Financial Services eCommerce’ at the eCommerce Awards 2019. The award recognises the business’ strong development of its online proposition and technological innovations to improve customer engagement, retention and experience.

Now in its 11^th year, the eCommerce Awards highlights the best online retailers, companies, agencies, innovations, products and campaigns the ecommerce industry has to offer.

This recognition comes in a year which has seen Policy Expert pass the milestone of 550,000 homes protected following eight successive years of growth – making it a top 20 UK home insurer and the most successful new market entrant of the last decade.

It also acquired the motor insurance business Sure Thing! in June to expand upon Policy Expert’s core home insurance proposition, which uses proprietary technology and advanced data analytics to deliver clear and transparency policies, fair pricing and attentive customer service.

Policy Expert was founded in 2010 and has been recognised by Review Centre as the UK’s number one home insurance provider since 2013 based on independent customer reviews.
