TreviPay Chief Financial Officer Joel Campbell has been named as the 2024 CFO of the Year by the Kansas City Business Journal. The annual CFO of the Year award program recognizes financial professionals in the Kansas City region for outstanding performance in their roles as corporate financial stewards. The winners will be honored during an awards event today at Loews Kansas City Hotel.

Campbell joined TreviPay in October 2020 as a “CFO plus” to rebuild the Finance function and build a broader foundation for the company to launch an accelerated growth strategy as TreviPay transitioned from public company to private equity ownership under Corsair Capital. During his tenure at TreviPay, Campbell’s notable achievements include refinancing the company via a Global Accounts Receivable Securitization, completing four successive PCAOB-style audits, taking over equity management implementing a new Equity Management System and rolling out both a short and long-range planning process to shape future strategic growth.

“Joel’s work in building a financial foundation that supports our growth goals is truly impactful,” said TreviPay CEO Brandon Spear. “His strategic mindset, which goes well beyond the financials, is instrumental in developing initiatives that make a real difference to our business and our employees. His integrity is evident in all he does and it’s an incredible advantage to have Joel Campbell on ‘Team TreviPay.’”

Outside of TreviPay, he sits on the Association of Finance Professionals’ Board of Directors, serves as advisor to the Dean for the Plaster School of Business Advisory Council and Finance Committee, and on the Ronald McDonald House Charities’ Investment Committee for Kansas City.
