DOCUSIGN MOMENTUM '16 Marking a year of significant advancements across its core eSignature and Digital Transaction Management (DTM) offerings, DocuSign, Inc. unveiled its Spring '16 Release, introducing new products, robust developer tools, and enhancements to security, accessibility and compliance.

The DocuSign Spring '16 Release – part of the company's regular cadence of product updates – includes the launch of DocuSign Transaction Rooms for Financial Services, a new offering that brings people together in a secure digital space to manage and complete complex transactions quickly and easily.

It also sees the launch of the DocuSign Signature Appliance for customers in regulated industries; a new line up of sandbox offerings for developers; and improved administration and accessibility functionality for enterprise and smaller companies alike.

"Digital transformation is on the shortlist of practically every company we speak to – and for most executives, it's their number one priority," said Matt Malden, chief product officer, DocuSign, from the company's MOMENTUM '16 conference. "Our focus with the DocuSign Spring '16 Release is to deliver services that enable individuals and organizations to get to yes faster with decisions, approvals and signatures – from anywhere across the globe."

Signing vital documents electronically has increasingly become the norm in many organizations around the world, but the process of bringing multiple people together to prepare, coordinate and complete multistage agreements leading up to the signature remains an enormous challenge.

"That's exactly the problem that DocuSign Transaction Rooms for Financial Services was designed to solve – and we worked with more than 50 of our financial services customers to help shape the product and its functionality to exceed their expectations," said Malden.

Within a room, participants can add and review contracts, share supporting documents, make comments, manage the various stages of workflow, and ultimately get those documents signed. With intelligent email notifications and a personalized, task-based signing experience, signers receive a consolidated summary of the contracts they need to complete – easing inbox clutter and speeding up transaction times.

"We are seeing huge demand for digital transaction management services across a broad range of industries," noted Jim Lundy, founder and CEO, Aragon Research. "Against that backdrop, we see the new DocuSign Transaction Rooms as a natural evolution of the DTM market – it should meet the demand from companies looking to complete more complex agreements."

The launch of the Signature Appliance within the Spring '16 Release is targeted primarily at companies operating in more heavily regulated industries.

"Our new Signature Appliance is a server solution that sits in a company's datacenter and integrates into existing systems and applications," explained Malden. "This is particularly important when meeting the regulatory needs of life sciences, healthcare and financial services organizations. This latest iteration has been completely updated to deliver significant performance increases, including 750 signatures per second and up to 50 million accounts per server."

The more than 225,000 companies and more than 85 million users across the DocuSign Global Trust Network will benefit from additional enhancements within the DocuSign Spring '16 Release, including:

Developer Capabilities: In addition to the free development sandbox, DocuSign is launching two advanced offerings that enable developers to test their code and workflows at scale – including options for surge testing in a safe environment – before deploying to production. This builds on the new API plans and open source SDKs rolled out late last year, as well as the new Developer Center that launched last month, offering tools and resources for building everything from simple eSignature applications to sophisticated line of business solutions and workflows.

Signing Accessibility: To empower anyone to sign their most important documents anytime, anywhere, on any device, Signing Accessibility enables sight- and motor-impaired users to be guided through the signing process either audibly or using keyboard navigation like the participants of Alcatraz Swim for Sight who used DocuSign to register for the event benefiting That Man May See and the UCSF Department of Ophthalmology - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BFcp9H9lHw

Advanced Administration Module: A highly-requested set of features, the Advanced Administration Module includes improved Single Sign On (SSO) features, as well as delegated administration to increase flexibility and efficiency with the ability to specify the permissions for different administrators.
