Aire, the pioneering data and technology company, today announced its plans to expand into the US market as it looks to hire a new Senior Commercial Executive, tasked with leading the credit fintech’s international go-to-market strategy.
The role is one of a number of recent hires to support Aire’s operational and business readiness in the US as it prepares to roll out its credit insight product internationally.
The announcement follows the promotion of former CFPB regulator, Tom Oscherwitz, to VP Operations and Counsel, further bolstering the credit bureau’s intentions within the US market.
With a clear focus on proactive engagement with regulators, Aire chose Washington DC as the location for its stateside headquarters last year.
Aneesh Varma, Founder and CEO at Aire, commented: “Having now established our operational and regulatory readiness and with early indications from lenders of the appetite for Aire in the US, we’re ready to go. This important hire will help us to make faster inroads into this market and will be pivotal in taking us closer to achieving our mission of delivering credit where it’s due for every consumer.”
Tom Oscherwitz, VP Operations and Legal Counsel at Aire added: "As we emerge from Covid-19, we’re seeing positive signs from US lenders who are looking to increase their lending responsibly. Aire provides a real-time, validated view of any consumer’s income, a solution that is particularly well-suited to US lenders looking to assess their customers accurately and fairly.”
