Garanti BBVA Kripto, a subsidiary of Turkey’s Garanti BBVA, has announced its partnership with Bitstamp to enhance cryptocurrency trading services for its customers.

Bitstamp, a globally regulated crypto exchange and subsidiary of Robinhood, will act as the primary liquidity provider through its Bitstamp-as-a-Service platform.

Korcan Abalı, CEO of Garanti BBVA Kripto, emphasised their commitment to regulatory compliance and quality service.

“With this aim, while collaborating with valuable institutions, we evaluate the values of our business partners in terms of service level and regulatory compliance,” said Abalı.

“Since our establishment, we have been running an exchange cooperation business model for liquidity sharing with Bitstamp. As Bitstamp is a regulated institution and has extensive experience in crypto markets, we are pleased to partner with it to provide liquidity for our clients. Through this collaboration, our crypto customers have the chance to experience digital asset services at the banking quality level,” he further noted.

“We are privileged to have been chosen as the first crypto exchange to partner with one of Turkey’s top-tier private banks,” stated Jean-Baptiste Graftieaux, Global CEO of Bitstamp, expressing his appreciation for the partnership.

Established in May 2023, Garanti BBVA Kripto has been offering cryptocurrency trading services to its clients since its inception.

The partnership with Bitstamp aims to provide enhanced liquidity while ensuring compliance with global regulations.

Bitstamp boasts over 50 regulatory approvals worldwide, adding credibility to this collaboration.

This partnership reflects the increasing integration of traditional banking services with cryptocurrency trading platforms, catering to the growing demand for secure and regulated digital asset services.

According to the companies, this collaboration is set to deliver banking-quality crypto solutions to customers in Turkey.
