Bitso, the leading crypto platform in Latin America with over 9  million users, today announced the launch of Bitso Onchain, a new decentralized exchange  (DEX) that combines token discovery with instant trading across more than 14 blockchains.

Marking the beginning of Bitso’s strategic expansion into decentralized finance, Bitso Onchain  delivers a simple yet powerful promise: discover everything, trade everything, with zero friction.

The progressive rollout has already begun for select Bitso customers in Mexico, Brazil,  Colombia, and Argentina, who can now discover and trade more than 17,000 tokens while  maintaining full control of their assets.

The platform eliminates traditional onchain barriers—including seed phrases and gas fees  (covered by Bitso)—offering seamless trading that enables users to, for example, buy Solana  meme coins with ETH or Arbitrum DeFi tokens with SOL in a single transaction.

“With Bitso Onchain, customers no longer have to choose between the simplicity of centralized  exchanges and the opportunities of decentralized markets. We’re delivering both in one  experience that solves that fundamental crypto dilemma,” said Daniel Vogel, CEO and co founder of Bitso.

The platform addresses a critical gap where 95% of tokens remain inaccessible to non-expert  users due to technical barriers. By unifying discovery, trading, and self-custody in a single  interface, Bitso Onchain democratizes access to the entire crypto ecosystem.

“We built this to bring real opportunities to everyone—not just crypto experts,” Vogel added.  “Whether it’s a new meme coin on Solana or a DeFi protocol on Base, users can discover it and  trade it instantly, without barriers between them and the biggest opportunities.”

Bitso plans to introduce AI-powered token discovery tools and DeFi capabilities in future  releases. This phased approach ensures immediate access while building toward a more  comprehensive vision.
