YellowDog, the world’s only predictive and intelligent cloud scheduling and orchestration platform, has appointed James Stevens as its new Chief Commercial Officer, as part of its plan to scale up and enter the UK, Europe & US Financial Services (FS) markets.

Stevens, who previously headed the £100m Banking & Finance organisation at Vodafone Global Enterprise, has 25 years of salesmarketing and product management experience spanning Data Centres, Software, Cyber Security and Corporate Turnarounds. YellowDog is building a global team to support FS customers and Stevens brings with him international experience, having headed up teams across the US, EMEA and Asia Pacific.

The appointment comes off the back of YellowDog’s successful Series A funding, in which it acquired £2.5 million to support international expansion and acceleration into FS following its introduction to the market last year.

Stevens is YellowDog’s second significant appointment in recent months, after former IBM and Microsoft executive Reid Downey joined the board of directors to help the company establish itself as an enterprise software provider to multiple markets across the globe.

Gareth Williams, CEO and founder of YellowDog said, “The financial industry is constrained with ineffective data processing modules, and we want to help unlock the full potential of financial institutions by unleashing them from their limited computer power.

“The appointments of James Stevens and Reid Downey, in addition to the £2.5m investment from Bloc Ventures, are fantastic additions to the senior team and are exactly what we need to penetrate international FS markets.”

James Stevens, Chief Commercial Officer of YellowDog, said:

“This is an exciting and pivotal time in YellowDog’s journey as it looks to expand into different markets from a really solid foundation in Media and Entertainment. The potential of YellowDog’s intelligent cloud platform to transform processing systems across enterprises in FS, and any other market, is plain for all to see. I look forward to using all my experience in finance, data centres and software to help YellowDog fulfil its huge promise and expand into new markets effectively.”
