Coupa tapped as part of Finance transformation initiative to digitise and increase spend efficiency across rapidly growing organisation

Coupa Software (NASDAQ:COUP), a leader in cloud-based spend management, today announced that the UK’s leading alternative digital infrastructure provider, CityFibre, has selected Coupa’s procurement, invoicing, contract management and expense management software to digitise their financial processes and to control their spend more efficiently.

The rapidly expanding nature of CityFibre’s business, coupled with the necessity of handling rising customer demand, meant that it needed to overhaul its existing financial system through the implementation of a new unified spend platform. After an extensive industry evaluation, CityFibre selected Coupa’s cloud platform, commending the usability, configurability and scalability of the 100 percent cloud platform provided by Coupa.

“Having looked at the market extensively to see what other solutions were out there, we unanimously decided that the Coupa solution was the perfect fit for our business moving forward. Not only did the Coupa platform provide us with complete visibility against our budget, Coupa’s company culture and focus on delivering customer value really resonated with our business,” said Peter Murray, finance systems consultant at CityFibre. “With the implementation of Coupa’s software we are sending the right message to our investors, demonstrating that we are serious about our organisational growth.”

Coupa helps by automating financial processes at CityFibre, freeing employees to focus on more value added tasks. In addition, it aligns the procurement function with key business objectives resulting in cost savings across the organisation.

As the UK’s leading alternative digital infrastructure provider,CityFibre is focused on providing both the public and private sector with best-in-class connectivity. It has fibre footprints in 41 cities across the UK, addressing 28,000 public sites, 7,800 mobile masts, 280,000 businesses and 4 million homes.

Alex Kleiner, general manager of EMEA at Coupa, highlighted that by choosing Coupa, CityFibre can focus its attention on modernising its business spend process and employees can spend more time adding value to other mission critical areas of the business.

“In this day and age, it’s imperative that businesses digitise and future-proof their business investments,” said Kleiner. “We’re in a unique position at Coupa because all of our solutions were born in the cloud, so companies such as CityFibre can transform and streamline their business spend efficiently and effectively. We’re thrilled to join with CityFibre, as they transform their finance function now and continually as their business grows. ”
