BroadSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ: BSFT), the global unified communication software as a service (UCaaS) leader, announced that Vodafone Germany has selected BroadSoft's UC-One(R) to power its new cloud-based UC services. Vodafone One Net Business is a scalable UC solution for small-medium businesses (SMB) designed specifically to support their current and future growth needs.
Vodafone One Net Business is a flexible, cost-effective, scalable and integrated solution that targets the sizable SMB marketplace(1). In Germany, this represents 58% of all businesses, with the cloud UC market set to grow at 18% CAGR by 2020, according to a recent report by industry analyst firm MZA. Vodafone One Net Business seamlessly connects fixed and mobile communications in a single solution, offering one number, bill, provider, and voicemail built on a proven, secure and future-proof platform. Unlike other OTT-based mobile UC solutions, Vodafone One Net Business is the first mobile UC service in Germany to deliver tightly integrated mobile features through a simple and intuitive user experience.
"Vodafone One Net Business marks a significant landmark in our ongoing strategy to meet rising customer expectations at a time when demand for cloud UC is increasing. It is ideal for businesses with a highly mobile workforce and a need to customise their current telephony," said Alexander Saul, Vodafone Germany's Director for Enterprise Business. "With its mobile-centric approach, BroadSoft's UC-One is the ideal solution for the German small-medium market where seamless mobility, productivity and cost-effectiveness are the key decision criteria."
BroadSoft was identified by Frost & Sullivan as the market leader for UCaaS with a 41% market share, and surpassed 13 million cloud unified communications lines deployed globally in 2015. UC-One enables voice, high definition audio and video, instant messaging and presence, conferencing, call logs, and collaboration with screen-sharing available on a single interface -- regardless of the user's preferred devices or type of connectivity (mobile, fixed-line, etc.). UC-One supports advanced mobility capabilities including IMS integration, FMC one number and native dialing, dual personas, mobile-first optimized user experience, and seamless administrative experiences.
Taher Behbehani, chief digital and marketing officer, BroadSoft, underlines the importance of a mobile-first approach when it comes to business communication: "We are delighted that BroadSoft was selected to deliver Vodafone Germany's One Net Business solution. According to our latest annual global business survey, service providers see UC and mobility as key drivers for SMBs, and as this market shifts to mobile-centric unified communications, we believe that BroadSoft is best positioned to deliver on its full promise and potential."
BroadSoft UC-One is being marketed successfully by service providers across the globe to business customers of all sizes, from micro-business to sophisticated global enterprises. For Vodafone Germany, UC-One offers a proven and feature rich solution that will allow them to aggressively pursue the large and rapidly growing SMB market in Germany.
Vodafone is also demonstrating BroadSoft's Project Tempo at CeBIT 2016 as a proof of concept of the future of cloud communications. Project Tempo provides a range of advanced capabilities including contextual communications and application integration that significantly improve the productivity of the business user. First announced in October 2015 at BroadSoft's Connections User event, Project Tempo is moving into beta trials in Europe, with Vodafone the first customer to demonstrate its functionality.
