Bulb Software Ltd. is launching BulbThings, the next generation asset management solution. The application aims at being the smart asset manager for Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) allowing them to benefit from capabilities provided by traditional Asset Management Systems used in larger Corporate companies.

“In such a competitive landscape SMBs are looking for new ways to make savings and they realise that keeping track of usage and costs of the assets they finance is one way to achieve this. Unfortunately, most Asset Management systems out there are too complex or costly for them. We’re helping our customers with one smart, easy-to-use and affordable solution that gives them control of their assets.” says Leslie Depond-Valleray CEO of Bulb Software Ltd.

As such, it offers a wide range of features through a user-friendly and collaborative app free of charge.

It can be customised for a fee, including advanced features and additional services such as connectivity to IoT sensors.

“Our vision is that, as IoT sensors become easier and cheaper to deploy, all these business things are getting connected. Besides other sources of data, we are making it easy for businesses to make sense of sensors’ data in managing their assets.” she adds.

The launch follows four months of beta testing of the full SaaS version of its product. During this time, the company worked closely with customers to prepare for its official launch.

It also secured seed funding from RCI Banque, the financial services provider of the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The investment is consistent with the bank’s strategy to help businesses better manage the vehicles that they are financing.

Nevertheless, BulbThings is more than a fleet management solution. It’s a multi-asset solution that provides operational savings by:

  • Automating the collection and analysis of assets data (e.g. financing, usage, service invoices) from various sources and throughout the assets’ lifecycle.
  • Automating administrative tasks (e.g. orders, contracts renewals, returns).
  • Maximising uptime of their assets and preventing damages/losses.
  • Helping its users to control the costs of their assets thanks to smart alerts (e.g. contract optimisation according to usage, spend or behaviour patterns), benchmarking and better engagement with asset users who can also access the app.
