Sella: 72 Startups from 14 Countries Around the World for the Incubation Program on Artificial Intelligence

72 projects applied to take part in the "Artificial Intelligence Business Incubator": the international incubation program fostered by Banca Sella and implemented by dpixel – the Sella group Venture Incubator – with the support of the Fintech District, aiming to assist in the initial phase (pre-seed) of startups, researchers, entrepreneurial teams, university spin-offs, companies and the most innovative artificial intelligence projects applied to finance.

The submission of 72 projects from 14 countries worldwide included, in particular, 27 from Italy, 6 from the United States, 5 from the United Kingdom, 4 from India, 3 from Germany. The remaining applications came from Singapore, Argentina, Brazil, Israel, Ireland, Nigeria, Poland, among others.

A committee made of experts from Banca Sella, dpixel and the Fintech District, selected the proposals of 7 startups for the development of innovative solutions based on banking and financial processes and products, applying technologies such as deep learning, machine learning, generative models and synthetic data. Following are the 7 finalist projects:

Dedalo AI, Italy

The company offers a Software as a Service (SaaS) product that provides software energy optimization through the analysis and monitoring of energy and CO2 emissions.

Ellycode, Italy

The company developed a platform allowing users to interact and analyze data through a natural language-based user experience.

Eoliann, Italy

The company developed APIs that, from the analysis of any geographical address, predicts the likelihood of natural disasters, their intensity and impact at a given exact location.

Lawpera, Israel

The company developed a Web application that, thanks to its legal chatbot, automates the process of creating and analyzing legal documents and contracts.

Legal-Phytia, UK

The company developed a web search software that uses Explainable AI to automatically organize, categorize, and retrieve data, especially legal information.

Plino, Italy

The company developed a Software as a Service (SaaS) for SMEs that, powered by Artificial Intelligence, makes it faster and easier to monitor management control, such as costs, revenues and margin trends,

WiseLoop, Italy

The company developed an AI-powered sales assistant that working on different touch-points, such as CRM, social networks and email, to increase and make sales prospects more efficient.

The 7 projects will now enter the so called “sprint period”: a coaching path involving participation in masterclasses, individual mentorship sessions and technical advisory. A “Demo Day” is also planned in November, at the Salone dei Pagamenti in Milan, featuring the unveiling and acknowledgement of the 7 projects into the Sella group innovation ecosystem, with the possibility of accessing vertical communities, acceleration programs, investor days and matchmaking with companies.
