Meniga, the leading hyper-personalised banking platform, today announced the launch of Fini, an advanced, standards-compliant MCP server that enables banks to bring agentic AI into their digital channels using Meniga’s financial intelligence.

Meniga developed Fini in full cooperation with five large banks, ensuring it reflects how real institutions want to enter the agentic era. Fini gives any AI assistant access to Meniga’s personal finance, enrichment, and insights capabilities, allowing conversations to be grounded in each customer’s actual financial situation.

The result is a shift from scattered banking features to a single, conversational financial agent. Customers can ask everyday questions in natural language, such as “How much am I paying for subscriptions?” or “Can I afford a trip to Italy next summer?” They then receive instant answers grounded in their actual data and are able to act on their finances within that conversation. For banks, this means deeper engagement and satisfaction, lower support costs as routine questions resolve end-to-end, and richer signals about what each customer truly needs.

“The banks that win agentic banking will be the ones that ground their conversational layer in real financial context. Not a generic chatbot, but an assistant that actually knows a customer’s spending patterns, their goals, and their upcoming bills, and is able to act on them,” says Raj Soni, CEO of Meniga. “With Fini, banks can enter the AI-agent era on the platform they already trust, without rebuilding what’s underneath, and without their data ever leaving the bank.”

As GenAI adoption continues to skyrocket, customer preferences are now rapidly shifting away from features and towards conversations. People want instant, personalised answers and to be able to act on their finances without navigating dashboards.

To respond to this demand, many banks have launched AI agents. However, most have fallen flat due to their generic answers and a lack of understanding of personal situations. Fini lets banks step into the AI-agent era by building on their existing Meniga platform, with no rebuild of the underlying systems required.

Customer data never leaves the bank, and the assistant operates under the bank’s own guardrails, identity and access controls. Crucially, Fini is model-agnostic, so whether the bank builds on Claude, GPT, Gemini, or its own model, they avoid lock-in as the AI landscape evolves. As customer appetite for AI-assisted financial guidance accelerates, Fini helps banks meet that demand using capabilities they have already invested in.
