INDATA, a leading industry provider of software, technology and services for buy-side firms, today announced the release of iPM Portfolio Architect AI, the investment industry’s first portfolio construction, modeling, rebalancing and reporting solution based on AI and machine learning.

Gartner has listed the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) as one of the top three technology trends for asset management firms. “Portfolio managers need a seamlessly integrated front office that provides a single real-time global position and enables them to react to changes in the market with speed and agility,”1 wrote Ali Merji, Research Director.

Architect AI leverages natural language as well as voice capabilities to perform complex workflows rapidly, which allows portfolio managers to work more efficiently, effectively reducing the number of steps in a given process and minimizing the reliance on complex software coupled with external spreadsheets that dominate many of today’s front office workflows. The system also utilizes machine learning as well as deep learning to tailor and optimize the portfolio management process for the individual needs of each firm and their unique investment strategies.

A web-based solution, Architect AI is available as a native cloud application with both private (via iPM Cloud) and public cloud versions offered, in addition to in-house deployments. Architect AI is based on open APIs, which can be integrated into most environments. According to Gartner, “cloud accessibility and APIs will enable organizations to leverage AI capabilities in pilot and production deployments.”

Another key competitive advantage of architect AI is that it leverages iPM Epic, which is based on big data technology. Effective AI solutions require significant data, which can be both structured and unstructured, to build and train data models. Using Architect AI in conjunction with iPM Epic, INDATA clients are able to create effective data models for their own firms and benefit from the current and future efficiencies created through the application AI and machine learning. With INDATA taking care of the underlying technology that makes everything work, small and medium-sized firms can now also reap the benefits of AI, in addition to larger firms.

“We are extremely excited to launch Architect AI, which is the culmination of extensive developments in our iPM Cloud and iPM Epic products,” commented David J. Csiki, President of INDATA. “While cutting edge in nature, Architect AI is a practical solution that delivers tangible ROI for investment managers allowing them to maximize productivity while minimizing costs, which is essential in today’s markets where active managers can now deploy technology to improve the bottom line,” he added.
