Capita announces it has entered a partnership with UiPath, the world’s leading Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software provider. As Capita’s preferred provider of RPA technology, UiPath will support Capita as it strengthens its digital capabilities.

RPA is a critical component of Capita’s multi-year transformation programme, which focuses on delivering tech-led solutions that deliver better outcomes for its businesses, clients and end-users.  As part of a £20m investment in RPA, Capita is rapidly scaling its in-house automation business, which currently employs over 100 people , and will provide automation services for existing and new Capita clients.

Capita already uses RPA in a number of its businesses and contracts, for example to improve the speed and accuracy with which GP pensions are calculated, and in helping to manage additional workloads for charging schemes.

Steve Gentle, Operational Excellence Director at Capita, said: “We are already working with clients to ensure they maximise the opportunities digital technologies present.

“But crucially, we’re also using RPA to change the way we work within our own businesses and building expertise we can share with our clients.  This year, we have built up a scalable automation capability, with enterprise-grade support, security and resilience.

“Capita’s RPA the team is working with our businesses to identify, implement and deliver on RPA projects. As our preferred provider, UiPath will support us in that goal and ensure we are delivering a best-in-class RPA capability that improves process efficiencies and customer experience for our businesses and clients.”

Caroline Grey, Strategic Partner Lead EMEA at UiPath, said: “More than 3,500 companies and government organisations are using the UiPath RPA platform to automate business processes and achieve outstanding results in productivity, error reduction, compliance, customer and employee engagement and satisfaction.

“We are excited about Capita’s plans for RPA and especially their infrastructure and support.  As we spearhead an Automation First era, we welcome Capita into the UiPath ecosystem and look forward to working with them to help deliver world-leading technology for their business and for their clients.”
