BlackLine CEO and Founder Therese Tucker will share her insights on how to grow and scale a successful technology business in Los Angeles, as part of two main-stage appearances during next week's 2015 TechFire Ignite Summit in Santa Monica, Calif.

Ms. Tucker will share lessons from her front-line experience building a tech company outside Silicon Valley – from bootstrapping the start-up in 2001, to redirecting the company's focus in 2004, to betting on the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business model in 2008, to driving 50 percent growth annually for the past eight years, to expanding from a single product offering to a full 'modern finance' platform in 2014. Throughout, Ms. Tucker and her team stayed fanatical about customer service and building a sustainable business — growing to more than 1,100 customers globally including 100 Fortune 500 companies and major brands like Boeing, Costco, eBay, JetBlue and T-Mobile.

Additional speakers include executives from other leading LA- and Silicon Valley-based companies and investment firms such as HotelTonight, Pantera Capital and True Ventures.

Ms. Tucker's passion, persistence and effort have paid off with BlackLine just recently ranking No. 14 on the 2015 list of the '50 Fastest' Women-Owned/Led Companies in the world, as reported in The Wall St. Journal.  In addition, BlackLine has made the Software 500 list of the world's "largest and best performing" software companies for the past four years, the Deloitte Tech Fast 500 for the past five, and the prestigious Inc. 500/5000 for the past seven years in a row, joining the ranks of such companies as Jamba Juice, Microsoft and Patagonia.
