Misys is pleased to be hosting the Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN) Open Day on 28th March 2017 in London. The free event, open for everybody in the industry, will focus on strategic change in Europe, bringing together challenger and established banks to explore this critical topic, amidst the impending arrival of PSD2.

BIAN is a global not-for-profit community of banks, vendors, service providers and academics, whose mission is to increase agility and reduce costs through common, formally defined semantics and a trusted roadmap for constant innovation.

Key details:

  • Date: 28th March, 2017
  • Time: 9.30am – 5pm
  • Location: Misys HQ London, One Kingdom Street, London, W2 6BL
  • Hear from:
    • The Chair of BIAN’s Semantic API Working Group – an update on APIs in the BIAN landscape, and progress report on our work with Carnegie Mellon University
    • Misys – PSD2 and open banking in action
    • Asseco – a case study on its API programme – findings and challenges in aligning APIs and microservices with the BIAN service landscape

With the regulation setting the stage for open banking, acting as a catalyst for both disruption and strategic renewal in Europe’s banking markets, this event will dig deeper into these topics.

There will be the opportunity to hear from the BIAN Working Group experts that have been tackling these areas, external opinions from experts and BIAN members, and how BIAN’s service landscape will help.

Misys will also be on hand to discuss the technology needed to successfully navigate the PSD2 landscape and to seize new value-creating opportunities.

To attend, please contact Dee Burke, head of marketing, Northern Europe, Misys:Dee.Burke@misys.com

The event will be followed by the BIAN EMEA Chapter Meeting, 29th – 31st March, at Misys HQ.

The EMEA Chapter meeting is primarily for existing BIAN members (banks and vendors) and non-member banks to gain a deeper understanding of the Working Groups and what they’re trying to achieve with semantic APIs and interoperability.
